Launching new SoM Concerto Competition

The School of Music is launching a new Concerto Competition for our most advanced students. As part of the upcoming 50th anniversary celebrations, the School of Music is enhancing collaborations and performance opportunities for our students. The aim of this competition is to select winner(s) who will perform as soloists with two of the most prominent ensembles in Malta.

• Classical Category Winner(s): Soloist with Malta Youth Orchestra in the 2024/25 season
• Contemporary Category Winner(s): Perform with Big Band Brothers in 2025

• Only School of Music registered students are eligible to apply for this competition.
• All applications must be endorsed by the SoM performance teacher.
• Applicants must be above Grade 6 standard in performance standard and up to 25 years of age.
• Deadline is 31st January 2024.
